What is a glacier battery?

OnePlus is set to redefine smartphone battery longevity with the introduction of its new Glacier battery technology in the upcoming Ace 3 Pro flagship smartphone. Scheduled for release on June 27, this innovative battery promises to maintain its capacity even after four years of regular use, marking a significant advancement in battery durability.

The Glacier battery, a notable departure from traditional lithium-ion batteries, is designed to be lighter and more robust. This cutting-edge technology not only ensures prolonged battery life but also supports rapid charging capabilities. The Ace 3 Pro can charge from 1% to 100% in just 36 minutes, thanks to its 100W fast charging support.

The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is poised to impress with its high-end specifications. It features a 6.78-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, ensuring smooth and vibrant visuals. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor, complemented by a 16MP front camera for selfies.

In addition to the Ace 3 Pro, OnePlus will also launch the OnePlus Watch 3, OnePlus Buds 3, and the OnePlus Pad Pro tablet on the same date, expanding its ecosystem of connected devices.

This launch follows the recent introduction of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite in India, which has already garnered attention for its impressive features, including a 5,500mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and a 50MP primary camera.

With the Glacier battery, OnePlus is setting a new standard for smartphone battery performance, promising users a device that remains reliable and efficient for years to come.
